"Maternity" Infertility Diagnosis and Treatment Centre |
|
Welcome to the web pages of the "Maternity" Infertility Diagnosis and Treatment Centre in Krakow. Our Centre was set up a number of years ago as the first in Krakow to offer a professional approach to the treatment of infertility, using the most up-to-date assisted reproductive techniques.
In order to meet the needs and expectations of our patients we have created a modern clinic offering a fully-integrated approach to the problem of fertility disorders, focussing on making sure that treatment takes place in a friendly environment.
Our Centre’s qualified personnel guarantee warm and confidential care, and their many years of experience and professional training ensure, first and foremost, that the techniques we apply are highly effective.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) |

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after 12 months of regular sexual intercourse without using birth control. The majority of pairs assume that they are fertile and expect effects immediately after ceasing to use birth control, yet almost 10% of women of reproductive age are infertile and around 25% experience at least one period of infertility in their lifetime.

Treatment may include sexual intercourse timing, hormone therapy, intrauterine insemination /IUI/ so as to get around the problem of the interaction of sperm and cervical mucus, and finally in vitro fertilisation /IVF-ET/ with intracytoplasmic sperm injection /ICSI/ and embryo transfer to the uterine cavity.

We offer sperm freezing for men who must undergo chemo- or radiotherapy and want to protect their sperm for future use.
In many cases chemotherapy on cancers can result in impaired fertility.

For some couples where a male infertility factor has been established the only solution is to take advantage of an anonymous sperm bank.
For many years we have run a professional Sperm Bank – equipped with the very latest technology for preserving sperm at low temperatures.
